Smile

hehe, TBH I didn't know either, until I helped a buddy buy one and the computer would not accept the order (yes, the dealer was flumoxed too!).

There are better and cheaper ones available, so not to worry...

And, yes, on the turbos, good ones make you go quite a bit faster!!

Thumbs up

That's from the online customiser Subaru has for the B4 in Japan.

Where's froggert? He put the address on here a few days ago.

Anyway, you can choose colour, wheels, aero, etc. Pretty nice stuff.

Cheers.

Why couldn't SOA sell stuff like that? Remember the old days when you could go down to the Buick dealer and order a Roadmaster stationwagon with a 454 Largeblock, Holly 4 barrel carbs, posi diff, racing springs etc.
How come you can't walk into your local Scooby dealer and order a Legacy with the H6, STi suspension, B4 bodykit and Blitzen wheels. This stuff would of course cost a premium, but then it is a win/win situation for all. SOA gets to sell cars at a premium mark up. If no one wants them ie. SVX SOA is not stuck with 10k units on the sales floor. They only make what the market will bear.
Buyers get a chance to build/buy the car they actually want.

for car manufacturers, more options = more cost. that's one of the reasons the model t was such a bargain back in its day. they built them all the same, so didn't have to carry as many different parts.
