Weeding

Pretty much the plotter is a CNC. There is a tiny, very sharp blade set inside a vertical tube, held in place by a magnet at the top. It works like a swivel Xacto does..it rotates in any direction.

The cutting head moves across the plotter to create the X axis. The vinyl gets pulled through to create the Y axis. Together these can create any shape in a 2D form. The cutting head moves up and down so the blade is only cutting when it needs to be and allows transporting of the cutter head without cutting vinyl.

Blade downforce (pressure applied to the blade) is adjustable. The trick is to only cut the vinyl and not the backing paper.
Why are you weeding off the plotter instead of on a table? Seems kinda… inefficient.

That particular design is an absolute bitch to weed. It needs to be weeded asap after cutting or the adhesive will start sticking the little bits back to the weeds.

That design is the only one I weed on the plotter..everything else I weed as sheets on a table.

I am pretty sure he didn't even say anything about her rude bs. look below. post #354 (i think this one says it all). From there on Clams didn't put anything about what she said. http://www.3gwrx.com/forum/index.php...,6610.345.html

the link on their site didn't even work when she was "calling him out". and still doesn't work.

http://khdphoto.com/visiondynamix/su...piggy-graphics

And she could've went about it better in a pm instead of in his thread.

She DELETED the post after PMs were changed. He UNDELETED it to be a drama queen.

And link works fine.
