Default Modifications to a new 2006 2.5i

Getting a 2006 2.5i and naturally I would like to check out the aftermarket. I would like to upgrade to an cai and exhaust. Does anyone offering anything for 2006 models? Can the 2005 mods work with the higher output of the new engine? I'm not looking to change any internals, I would just like to help the engine breath better.

I believe the headers may differ on the new 2.5i. However, I am almost certain that from the header's back, it's the same exhaust design as the years before. Any 05 stuff should fit perfectly. If you can't find your answer here, just ask your local suby mechanic if the exhaust design changed any for the 06 design. They should know

Let me know if you want to get rid of the stock headers, or at least post some photos from underneath so I can get a copy started.

2005 exhaust wont fit on the 2006, you hafta wait for someone to make one for ya or custom job, maybe an intake will work, header are another story, only thin I can see workin on it for now is maybe take an exhaust off an 2006 wrx, honestly I had no idea they were out yet, the aftermarket prolly thought the same if anythin try an injen intake tho I would think about it if anythin else would fit

From looking at a picture of the new 2.5i motor it looks like the intake system is still the same as 05 so maybe an 05 Injen intake would work nice. As for exhaust best bet would be a custom 2.25inch catback made by your local muffler shop with whatever muffler you want.
