Default This tire or That tire question

I'm sure no one is tired of these type of questions in this forum, so I'll add another.

I'm debating between the Kuhmo MX's and the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3's. Opinions anyone?

It's for an 02 wagon running 225/45/17 on prodrive springs

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3's =

I had a set on my Z28 and now I have a set on my WRX. They're a good daily-driver summer tire. Good wet/dry traction, decent price, limited road noise. The only downside is that the sidewalls are a little bit on the soft side so I wouldn't take them autocrossing.

Track and AutoX, wet and dry, North idaho, aggresively. I have dedicated snows though, so that's not an issue. Just a tire that will perform the best at track and autox days....

look at falken azenis rt-615 or hankook rs2. if its for track and autoX, i'd stay away from the F1s. great street tires as claimed by many but you dont want soft sidewalls for your application.

i would get a dedicated set of tires for track (I own 5 sets, and each serve their own purpose). snow, autox, summer, track, and stock

If you want a do it all tire, theres a few that you can try.
1st choices, neovas, rt-615s

2nd choices, ps2, mx, s03, 215s

3rd choices rt-215s, rs-2.....etc.

you can get a set of streetable race tires also, RA1 or if you can find them dunlop sp super sport race (hard to get correct sizes now)
