Anyone who has taken their tail lights out: Is it easy? Anything to look out for? I remember reading somewhere about a lot of grease being involved
Thanks Mitch

Its pretty simple. Just pull out the lining to expose the hex nuts and there you go. But the lining is rather sharp and you should wear gloves. I think I did a writeup of it when I changed my lights 3-4 years ago.

You will likely have a bunch of adhesive/sealant between your lense units and your body so be prepared to deal with that. Patrick Olsen just did his rear taillights so do a search on this forum and you'll see several "tricks" for decreasing your frustration and that get you in and out of the rear taillight removal that much quicker.

The outer two pieces (where your turn signals are) were relatively easy for me to get off, but the center piece was a huge PITA with the sealant stuff that was on there.
Otherwise yeah - just find all the crazy bolts holding them in, and pry em off as carefully as you can. |

There wasn't any crazy amounts of adhesive when I did mine...I think theres like 8 bolts on the inside of the trunk...pretty easy. 15 minute removal if that. Just unbolt, and pull off(very little muscle required).

8 bolts, Fibizzle? I had two studs on each side... pushing the lens inward a little bit, I could loosen them with my fingers.
