Your NASIOC Administrator How Do I Cancel My Extended Warranty?

Hello everyone. I'd like to first start out by saying that i've owned my '05 RS for about a year now and i've been putting off modding so that i get a good feel for the car stock (and learn how to drive it because it's my frist manual tranny). Car still runs great, but the time has come to start adding some performance parts and i figure it's far enough down the line that anything that breaks now is not a serious mistake on behalf of SOA (idk, i might be wrong).

I've ordered an Injen CAI and Perrin RSB w/ endlinks and i'm looking into techworks exhaust (just basic stuff, nothing to wild. Baby steps are more my style). My question is how do you go about getting a refund for the extended warranty i purchased for my car and is this a wise decision?

thanks for all your replies! :-)
(and is that really a Bill Clinton Icon that i chose for this thread? lol)

You will have to read the contract you signed and see how you can get a refund. Of course you will not get the full amount back, it will be prorated.

1.Go to the dealership that you bought the car from
2.Tell them you want to cancel the extended warranty
3.Because its been a year you will recieve only a small portion of $$$ back
4.It may be smarter just to keep the extended warranty, instead of $800

Also unless the car is paid off, you wont see any of that money

The dealership I bought my car from said the extended warrenty refund would be taken off what I owe and sent to my lender.
But then 5 months after I canceled it I randomly got a check from the dealership for the amount.

I'd never buy an extended warranty, but I recall them telling me that I could cancel after the first year and get a full refund. They seemed surprised when they told me this and I still turned it down.

All extended warranties have different policies on refunds. Seeing that it was never used, you may get a full refund. If you financed the price of the contract in witht he payments of the car, you may get a check or they may send it to the finance company to put towards the payments on the car, seeing they are the ones that "actually" paid for the contract. Read the back and see what it says.
