Post Survived New Year's Eve!

Stupid, stupid, stupid. We left the party at 2am, just when all the bars dumped the drunks onto the street. Driving up Clark and then Halsted to drop off a friend was a nightmare. People were laying down in the street, puking, attacking cabs, fighting, and just being moronic.

Then on 94 south (East), going to my brother-in-law's place, we saw a horrible accident. A 1980 Toyota rear ended a limo. Both the driver and passenger in the Toyota tried to put their heads through the windshield. I have never seen such a graphic display of why we need to wear our seatbelts.

The Minutemen tow trucks pulled off the suicide merge ramp (near Roosevelt) and were redirecting traffic.

I hope all of you had a safe and happy time. Don't forget to wear your seatbelts.
