Default Effects of 04 WRX ECU swap with 04 ECUtek

What effects would I have if I swapped my 04 WRX stock ECU with another 04 WRX ECUtek? Are VIN's stored? Would Subaru not service my car? Any other effects or information I should know?

BTW I already asked about inspections in NY in the local tri-state forums

The VINs are not stored in the 04 ECUs as far as I know.

As far as effects, it will depend on your car and the tune on the EcuTek ECU. Even with the same modifications, two different cars may respond differently to the same tune.
