Wow, a picture of my SVX (#15/#16) actually posted on NASIOC!
Kevin Henry did a great job driving it to 4th in ESP (44.122 time)....not bad for a car with 190,000 on it
-Bill (woefully behind Kevin in 6th with a 46.836)

Wow .. I look like such a tool.

Thanks for the driving advice Jay, had I actually followed it, I would have probably turned better times. Congrats to you though!!

Hey no problem dude. Just little things i've learned myself along the way. It was great to meet everyone. I had a great time, enjoyed hanging out with everyone, and finally put some names to faces. I have about 220 pictures to upload to the computer, that i'll get around to when i get a chance.

Ended up finishing 3rd in Sm with a 42.8. Not too shabby. Really wish i would have been on hoosiers so i could have tried for the #1 spot, but there's always next year.

Drive down sucked it took me 7 hours to get there. Really made up for it on the way home. Made it back to my house in Rhode Island in 4 hours 53 min. No traffic what so ever. Easy drive home. I look forward to coming down next year for the challenge. Mach V funny pic of me you got there. I had no idea you were taking that picture. I love the I am the stig shirt, but it was wayyy too hot to wear black.

Thanks again to everyone that was at the event and the event cordinators for putting on such a great well run autocross.

Jay

Jay thanks for giving me a ride in your STi. That is a very well built and well driven car, I had a great time riding in it. Nice driving, congrats on your third place finish, I definently think you could have made a run at first with some hoosiers instead of steet tires.

[quote=midnx03]I have not seen that many SVX's in one spot in a long time. Definitely sweet to see them out and racing. And they were putting down great times for automatics and heavy cars.

[quote]

Heavy cars? I didn't see a single car that didn't outweigh ours there but it doesn't take nearly as much work to get an Impreza down to 2825 with a full tank of gas (it needs it as there is no weight what-so-ever back there) so one or two might have dieted enough . Course was definately set up nicely for the boosted bunch as it was easy to keep the turbos spooled most of the course. Best I could attain was a 44.9 which for my driving ability translates into a high 42, low 43 for a seasoned autoxer behind the wheel. Not bad for a car that is still eligable for the sub $1000 catagory of the grassroots challenge. It even has some impreza bits on it like the rear or shall I say front WRX stock struts and Impreza H&R springs all around which should make some of you Impreza folk happy. Wish we could've run the two drivers in seperate heats as the tires were hard to keep decent by the end but couldn't ask for a better day! Most impressive time I saw was the OBS in HS running a 49 on such a wide open course! That's pretty darn good out of 165hp.

I loved seein the SVXs there, I was afraid the Suby community was forgetting the old schoolers. Too bad there were no RXs, I miss my RXs.

Old school? The SVX platform is only a year older than the Imprezas! Now had I brought my 57 Rabbit then we could've talked old school . I did my best to encourage a couple XT6ers to show up but no luck on that end.

For alot of people on here, it seems as if Subaru's didn't even come out till 2002, so a 95 SVX (that they might not even recognize) is old school enough to me! Hey, people call my '97 Impreza "Classic". Its not even 10 years old, but in the suby world, its a classic. Just wait till 2012, my STi will be considered "historic" I bet

Keefe-
That last pic would look alot better if you had like, maybe a CGM STi on the far end? hahaha

Come over and watch it on my big/small screen.

I should have gotten another run. I came around the second to the last corner and saw the black Legacy in the next corner in front of me and no one red flagged me to stop..
