Yes i looked. Its always my first plan of attack.
I just havent found any numbers posted for the "actual" HP increase with the system installed. ? This is for a 2004 2.5 I was planning on ordering but need some valid #'s before i spend the cash on a throaty intake sound alone.. Thanks

I just got the cobb cai installed on my 02 obs (+borlas and stromung catback)
Sorry, I don't have the numbers (was wondering myself). I got the cai and catback installed at the same time so I don't know the individual difference, but it made the car breath much better. It felt like I dropped my fat friend off at the shop ![]() |

It also isn't so much a gain in hp #'s as it just smooths out the powerband. I can say that above 3k, there is definitely more power. And since yours is a 04, like me you will get the nice whistle noises from the plastic manifold at about 25-40% throttle.

I allready have the acclaimed "nice whistle noises".. I built my own CAI but if there is a definite power increase to be had (with numbers to back it up) then i will spend the money if not my intake will do for now..

Thanks i dont know how i missed it.. Stupidity i guess..
I have the pulley and full exhaust (including Equal length header "all Cobb") So it looks like the intake will compliment it nicely.. I am ordering right now. |
