Default Exhausts and EWG?

Couple of quick question...... do I have to get rid of my Helix downpipe when going EWG? Can I make my PDE uppipe work with a tail 38mm gate or do I have to get a new uppipe? What psi spring comes standard in a tail 38mm gate? I have boost control issues so should I go with a stiffer spring to be on the safe side?

As far as I know to put the dump tube into the DP is a custom job but one that can be done by many folks.

As for the spring the standard I'm told is a 1 bar spring. That considerably stronger that the stock ones that are around 7 psi. It's really hard to know what the best spring is. The cracking pressure of the spring relates to the exhaust pressure as well as the boost pressure that is acting on the actuator. What's too much is the question I have, and don't know the answer to.

If you want the Ultimate racing up-pipe with ewg built in you will need to check with them about which bellmouth DP fit. Otherwise you can have a WG flange welded on to about any up. You can call the vender or tial directly about your turbo application and which spring stiffness to use.

I'm going with the new Element Tuning EWG up-pipe and having the dump tube welding into my Perrin down pipe. I know that it does not work with the TurboXS bell mouth not sure about the Helix or PDE.

You don't have to dump your external wastegate back into the dp. Mine just dumps straight down. Also the wastegate comes with whatever spring stiffness you want. The one that I am selling right now has a .6 bar spring in it. To answer your last question are you having boost control issues or boost creep issues. If it is boost creep then the external wastegate will eliminate it.

my boost is just odd, it makes 10psi and holds that until 5500rpm where it shoots to 25+psi. its very odd. I'm going to have it checked out soon and maybe add a tail 38mm gate if needed.

I just finished fabbing my EWG setup w/ dump tube. Mines probably a lot different than most. I'm happy with it. BTW, these are the rough pictures, it's alot cleaner now and coated.

Is that a Perrin downpipe? Damn man - that's good thinking. I've been staring at one in the shop for a while... I was trying to think of a way to use that divorced wastegate pipe for that. Beat me to it.

It is the Perrin DP, but i couldn't reuse the actual tube you are speaking of. I actually cut the wastegate tube off and used the hole it used. But yea, i sat there and looked at it for a while too.....finally figured out what i wanted to do.
