Default Accessport Boost Controller Question

I know the Stock Map Sensor is good for approx 24PSI. How good is the AP boostcontroller function? Can it support 30PSI? I'm trying to find out if i need to ditch my Blitz-SBCID. Where can we get a 3-4 Bar map sensor that is plug and play?

TIA

The AccessPORT isn't a boost controller. It is an ECU reprogramming device. The ECU is the boost controller and it pulses the stock Denso 'bleed type' solenoid to work with the new parameters that the AccessPORT uploads to the ECU (target boost and WGDCs changed with regard to boost controlling).

chee, it can support it, but it would be doing it blind at that point. to have stable, predictable boost control up to 30psi, youre going to need an upgraded MAP sensor.

are you getting an accessport and ditching the utec? either way, i would just keep the sbc-id. it will work fine as long as jorge knows the boost you will run.

Jason's right, Chee. Cobb is finishing up the MAP calibration functions of the Protuner which will allow a larger MAP sensor, but in the mean time just keep using the SBC-ID.
