Default burbling from intake. not complaining, but why?

Driving a 95 1.8L impreza, and just installed the short ram intake salvaged off my wrecked 2.2L. when i started the car up it has this sweet sweet deep sounding burble, but after about 10-30 seconds (depending in eng temp) it disapears as the engine drops to 750rpm and idles there, silently. anyon ehave any ideas here? never had that sound on my 2.2L, but it sounds really nice, and am hoping to get it tokeep sounding that way.

also, when its makeing that noise when idleing, i can rev it (2-3k) and the burbleing keeps up, sounding sweeter and sweeter. then when i let off, it disappears and i cant get it back until i start the vehicle up again.

any ideas here?

once you get the exhaust on....... you wont have a lack of burble TRUST ME.

And if you get some Borla headers you DEFINATELy will not have a lack of burble.

It's the normal intake sound. When you first start up the car, the idle air valve (which bypasses the throttle body) opens up and then promptly begins to shut to bring the idle down to normal speed. Once it gets there, it's too small to let much of the burble through so your intake is quiet. When you step on the accelerator, the throttle plate opens up and the sound is free to come out again.
