Who would want to meet here for a North Texas meet???

The place is a WONDERFUL hamburger joint... its been around since the 50's and the hamburgers are to die for! It has adequate parking for pictures (as long as we are there in the afternoon) cause every evening this place is PACKED!!!

It's an institution in Arlington, Al's Hamburgers.

So... here's the location. I know some of you North Dallas people have something about going that far for a meet... but the Food is to die for at a great price... It knocks the pants off of Chuck's and the price is better too!

I forgot that once you moved to the big city (kin folk said move away from there) you get to be a bit uppity.... not like we really do anything at the meets anyway.... all we ever seem to do is eat, so why not find a good place to go and have fun?

Geez.... I am so sorry to have offended those who are not willing to put more than 10 miles on their car for a meeting....

Everyone knows Dallas is superior in all respects than Fort Worth(less) and the Mid-(Sh)ities.

I think as matt, and i discussed @ the last meet, which you never came to KEVIN, the meet's are going to be somewhere near I-35/Loop 12 area. Resteraunt Row, which i think it a good driving distance for all parties involved.

We'll have another one soon, i'm all up one, but this Al's place is too fuggin outlandish distance wise, imho.

Although AL's would be a good place to have it, the Plano residents have a hellova far drive... Loop 12 and 35, is a pretty central location for everyone.

North Ft. Worth to Denton to Plano back to Ft. Worth... DAILY I think the Plano/Richardson people could make the drive for some really wikkid food!

All though the Row on IH35may be central for anyone living in Dallas country, it does put out most of the people living on the west side of 360. I have never been able to go to a club meeting (NTPOG, TSOG or Redline) without driving a minimum of 30 minutes...I guess I am just accustomed to it by now... although going as a group to go try some good, cheap food never hurts either... I've said it once now, but not everyone here has a well paying techonology based job (and even some that did, don't now)....

I agree with Josh.... my car is now 10 months old and has 37.5K miles on it.... I like to drive... but I like to drive in packs.... ~eg~ Heck, if it meant we would have bigger meetings, I would even drive to fluffin' Richardson like I use to for NTPOG... we had huge meets there.... it was really awesome....

Anyways.... I still say we have a minimeet at Al's.... heck, if that meet only has 2 cars, I don't give a flip! They have got the best chili-fuggin-cheese burger this side of the Mississippi much less 360....

I can completely understand how you guys feel, and same for the Dallas/Plano fellas... But that doesn't mean we still can't go to AL's Hamburgers... If Just the Mid-(shi)ties want to go.. That's fine.. It doesn't have to be approved by anyone to have a meet. I'm up for Al's Hamburgers! The food kicks ass! So when shall we plan this little mini meet!? Tonight perhaps??

Like the meet we had in Lewisville awhile back... that wasn't a big "MEET", it was just some fools getting together really. No pressure fellas. You wanna go eat your burgers with some fellow Subie owners, more power to ya. Just let us know when and where....not "maybe, and how about this". You'd be suprised.... Alot more people came to the last meet than posted in the thread, so don't worry about pleasing everyone. Just do it.
