Subaru Stars defi D-Gauge AFR gauge question

I saw in the defi product listing for $120 the D-Gauge AFR gauge. looks like this.

Seeing as the face has numeric values printed on it, is there any way for this gauge to be better than a LED type narrowband AFR gauge. Can i tune off of this or is it a waste? I would hate to spend the money and find out its just as stupid as my rich lean LED gauge. It reads voltage up to only 1v not 5 like a wideband. But could it possible be smoother than the one i have.

Here what the back of it looks like if you scroll to the bottum of the page just before the tach. install instuctions...any info is availble from the tool bar on the left.
