turbocharging a '01 2.2 impreza outback

i have a stock vf39 turbo and tmic from my '04 sti (left over from my project build). my friend has an '01 impreza 2.2 with an automatic. can he use these parts in a build. what would be needed to make it work, i.e., em, compression, etc.?

yes, all parts fit with no problems. just use the stock exhaust and after the cat have a pipe made to fit the collector box of a wrx turbo. zero fittment issues after that. tap an oil line to oil pan and use some type of cheap intake pipe and filter. i ran the same setup!-keith
