not sure how transferring will work, but if you had a family member in Canada or something, perhaps itcould get registered there or something? Not sure how this all works.

If the car was sold as new in Canada, bringing it to the US is easy. This is a whole different can of worms. In Canada, you can't import any car that wasn't sold new in Canada/US that is less than 15 years old. The R32 is now that old, hence they are being imported. You'll have to look into your federal and state rules on this.

Yes, the car was previously owned by some kid in Canada and my cousin bought it from him. The car is not registered through US. It is registered under our aunt's address who lives in Canada. So technically its a Canadian car. This is easier to get away with since we live in Washington (next to Canada).

I believe its a 89 GT-R, all it has is intake/exhaust and suspension. And yes he got this about $20,000 US. And why is it so hard to believe? It's a 1989, and you guys car comparing to a brand new SE-R?

I've driven multiple GT-R's before (R33 and R32, rode in Jhon's Do Luck R34) they aren't really that special. I enjoy driving supra TT's more than GT-R's. They have really strong mid-range power but still pretty laggy (like driving a stock WRX w/ AC on but with twice the kick when turbo spools). And handeling is inbetween the EVO and a WRX. The only upside is that its a rare car.

also, GT-R's can no longer be legalized in the US is what I've been told. MotorRex no longer licens Skylines. That is why the price value has shot up for Skylines that are already in the states.

the price of an 89 skyline isn't hard to believe, they're pretty cheap. i'm just trying to figure out if he spent an additional 20 grand just to register it.
