Default 360 degree viewing

I have heard of experiements that researchers fitted people with goggles that flip their field of vision upside-down. In time, the person's mind will flip the image right-side-up.

Is this true? If it is, couldn't a 360 degree view be displayed like the current panoramic portraits and be interpreted as the full 360 degree view? The person could wear goggles that only showed the panoramic view. The person would begin to use the information from behind them in new and interesting ways...

Ummm..the upside-down glasses thing is true, but the 360....ummm no.

In high school, a friend of mine had a physics professor that had him wear a pair of those glasses for the whole class. After about 45min of everything looking upside down, his vision blurred for a minute and then corrected itself so everything look right again. He took the glasses off and everything was upside down!!! It took his eyes about 5 minutes to go back to normal, the whole time he had to sit down because he would instantly fall down when he stood up.

Your mind wouldn't eliminate the EXTRA information.

The more I think about it, left and right would cease to exist.
