Impreza GC8 For those that are interested, I rebuilt my motor.

Inspired by my clutch fork snapping, I decided to pull my motor and do a complete seal & gasket job on it as well as a new water pump and timing belt.

You can read the full story here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=839476

All of the pics are here:

I've got 1000mi on it now and absolutely NO leaks =)

Good to hear that things are running smoothly for the new seals. How does it feel as compared to before? Stronger or about the same? Gas mileage increase?

Went from 13-18mpg city to 20-23mpg.

22 highway to 27.

Pretty good I say.

It's a tad more responsive as well. I think whatever oil/etc crud that was blowing through the exhaust onto the o2 sensor is cooked off now.

I guess I could use a new o2 sensor anyways after all of this.

Thanks again for the help AJ.

I broke a clutch fork just like that, too. I think I might still have it in my garage... if I find it, I'll take a pic.
