Default OEM STi short shifter shorter in height than stock?

Is the optional SSK for the STi shorted in vertical length than the stock Sti shifter in my '05? I would prefer the position of the knob to be an 1" lower. My arms are plenty long and I keep my seat as low as I can.

SSK= Short Shift Kit

That, and you will really really like the kartboy one. I suggest you get one. Along with the bushings.
