Well, obviously, it's a beach, do "beachy" things. Unless you guys feel like shopping, that's the other big thing to do. Just make sure if you go to the beach, you go to the NORTH end of the beach.
What kind of things do you guys like to do?

Well, shop, play a game or two of mini golf, and im not sure what else...im looking around on the intraweb and it seems as if the city shuts down around this time . Is the north end the non-gay section of the beach or something (ive heard that Rehoboth is the gay beach) and where is the north section at? like above what street.

If Rehoboth fails, what other places should i look into?

Rehoboth is a nice beach, but ducttape your ass shut.

Normal beach things- Outlets, boardwalk with rides (rides may be closed now), great pizza (Grotto!), and just relaxing.

Also, drive the extra 45 minutes to Ocean City, MD. It's much better than Rehoboth. The Rehoboth/Bethany/Lewes area is nice, and extends all the way to Ocean City. Just drive the speed limit in Ocean City.

Yes, Rehoboth has a lot of gay people, but during the summer there's a lot of families too, so you don't notice. After Labor Day the town starts to shut down so yeah, a lot of stuff might be closed. The South end of the beach is "Poodle Beach". Most of the people there congregate around the beach right next to Main St. (You'll know where it is, there's a big candy store called "Dolle's" next to the beach). If you go to the very North end of the beach it's usually not too crowded, although since it's late in the season, you may not have a problem anyway. At the North end, there's a big water display kinda thing in the parking lot.
Like you said, there's mini golf places everywhere. In Midway, which is like 15-20 min away (You'll probably pass it on the way into Rehoboth) there's a little go kart race track too. And a movie theater. In Dewey, which is a little less than 5 min going the other direction, there's a bunch of jet ski places. Sea food places are everywhere. You could go to Ocean City to go parasailing, that was kinda cool. Also, Bethany beach has a nice boardwalk you could cruise.

Forget about Rhehobeth and go to OC, unless you want to go to gay bars with your girlfriend. Thats really all there is.

No no no. OC is trash (and way too expensive). All you need to do is go down to Dewey. Go to the Rusty Rudder or the Starboard. There are a ton of 20-30yr olds there and its much cheaper and more fun than OC.

12345. OC is overrated. And really unless you can't at all tolerate gay people, Rehoboth's fine. Especially since you're with your girl. I'd go to Rehoboth, Dewey, or Bethany.

Crap. I mean you can try, but its probably going to be hard to get into any bar at that age.

Its off season so if you want you can call the fire dept and get a permit to have a bonfire on the beach. You have to put down a deposit, but if you clean up you get it all back.

Maybe one night head down to OC to the under 21 clubs (H2O).

I like the boardwalk in rehobeth more than OC, better games.

Miniputt down in OC is better.

As he said, if you're looking for a not-too-shabby place to eat, like Burton said Rusty Rudder wouldn't be bad. Pick up one of the brochures in the Chamber of Commerce, there's plenty of info in there.

dewey is good... but the beach is very rocky when you go in the water so prepare your feet for some roughing... the beach is relaxing ... MUCH more relaxing than rehoboth...

as for eating... stay away from crabby dicks... that place sucked.

Maybe rent some jet skis or kayaks during the day. They should be cheaper now.

I tend to like the beach much more off season - less crowds.

The shopping is better in Rehoboth, if your girl is into that. There are more choices for food in OC. The beaches are better in between the two.
