Two plugs, one under the hood, and one under the glovebox. Do a search, and there should be pictures of what to look for exactly.

Default Day time running lights

Hi...Just another "Lost soul" looking for answers I have a 2002 RS sedan and want to disable my DRL's....unfortunately the pictures in the various threads on the subject don't look anything like the wiring under my dash (Glovebox)....I have most of the panels off and there is nothing that looks even remotely like the pictures I have found in this thread.

HELP!!!

Has anyone actually performed this deed on an RS??

i have an 04RS and it is in the same spot. i dont see why it would be different....i have done this so many times i can do it without removing anything all you really need to remove to make it easier is the side panel on the door.

I don't think it should, turning your DRLs off is a safety issue. DRLs make you more visible even in daylight. People are less likely to cut you off or pull out in front of you.

Personally I'm thinking of hooking my foglights up to the e-brake so they turn on whenever its down, as my RS does not have DRLs

It's a 10-wire plug, not a 3-wire. Did you remove the glovebox? That's the best way to find it.
Also, are you not in the US? Might have something to do with it.

Mulder has the "CLUE"....I spoke to the service mgr at my dealer and he says that the "Canadian" cars are wired differently for some reason.....apparently the same relay but in a different place? The search goes on

This is pretty weird. I don't think Scooby fan is overlooking the DRL plug since it is pretty easy to find. It must be located elsewhere then on the Canada models

Pic of the plug just with the glovebox taken off from the passenger side door area:

The pictures above match my 2004 OBS (in Canada) exactly. So as of 2004 anyway it was no different than in the US. Can't figure out why the Canadian 2002 would be different than in the US since the implementation of DRLs is exactly the same.

Hi guys....I found it It is where your picture shows it...except it appears to be about 3" higher up under the dash.......to get at it without removing the glovebox would take someone with fingers about the size of chopsticks and 6" long

After I disconnected it and put the glovebox back together, I couldn't even get a finger in there far enough to touch it. All in all, about 10 min. work and a couple of skinned knuckles

Thanks for your help

Yeah - I couldn't even begin to reach mine without removing the "glovebox". It's really the "trim" piece on the side of the glovebox that covers it - the trim piece just happens to be all one piece of plastic with the glovebox assembly!
