Default A/F guage help

I have an A/F guage that i installed, but i cant get it to work right. When the car is not running, but the key is in the ACC position, one of the 3 LEAN red LED's lights, and if i turn the key to ON and dont start the car, the light changes to the last RICH green light, and that one stays on. If the car is running, that is also the case, the RICH light stays on, and doesnt change...

I have it hooked up to the WHITE wire from the rear (i think rear) 02 sensor, i initially was told by the Subaru dealer here that the Blue wire was the signal wire, and today was told by another person the White is the signal wire, but i get the same effect with either wire....

So, can some1 plz help me? Also, the instructions says that no segment of the Guage will be turned on until the guage gets a signal from the 02 sensor, and i am guessing it will have to warm up before the signal is sent....

any help would be awesome!

You have the O2 input wire to the gauge hooked to ignition. The blue wire is probably the right one, the white wires are almost always the heater for the O2, so it's 12v. If your little guage hasn't already, it'll die soon... hooked up like that. Not that it matters, hooked up right it's a little less interesting than a lazer light show. But try that blue wire instead. Or get a meter and test things.

Another handy tool is telling us what you drive, either in the info to the left, or in the post. Not all O2 sensors have the same wires. I've seen them from 2 to 5 wires... could be more.

well first of all, when i first installed this guage i never hooked it up to any signal wire, i left that wire disconected because i wasnt sure where to hook it up.... But, the ground wire had a problem, and the back light would turn on when the headlights were off, and it would turn off when the headlights were on.... Even then, the last green rich light would always be solid.

So, i fixed my ground, and went to the subaru dealer and they said it had to be hooked up to the blue wire. Tried that, no luck. So i disconected it from that wire. Went to Dynamic Performance yesterday and they said it was a white wire, like wire 17 off of the ECU, and that if i tapped into one of the wires off the 02 sensor, it had to be the white one. So i dont know if im getting right information or not, and im sure like you said my guage is probaby fried...... And i know it doesnt give me really accurate information, but i had a open spot in my pod, and i didnt have the money for a EGT guage, so i stuck this in there for now lol....

It says what my car is now, so hopefully you can help me some more!

thanks
