Default Is it possible to tighten top of strul/coil while its on the car?

Is it possible to tighten the bolt + allen at the top of the strut/coil while the suspenion is still on the car? If so... does it hurt it at all because of the spring being compressed?

Thanks

Im getting a clunk going over bumps after installing new springs.. im wondering if this will the be fix.. because i dont think i tightened that allena ll the way down.

You can tighten it all you want, it's not going to make a difference.

Use a torque wrench, don't just tighten it all the way down. 41 ft/lbs.
