Smoked ballast? Help please

Hey guys, I did my headlight mod a loong time ago, for some reason moisture started showing up a few days ago. Finally yesterday the bulb went out, I checked to see if it was the bulb, no luck. Checked the fuse, no luck, so the only thing left to be is the ballast.

So I think I fried it, I'm sure people have done this before, so I need some advice on what to do. Can i just replace the ballast or do i have to change the whole headlight? I took it apart today and resealed it with a whole lot more sealant so it should not get moist again. help.

There is a write up about this. People were letting them sit in the sun, and using a hair blow dryer to get the moisture out.

It may be possible to dry out the ballast as suggested. Definitely worth trying since although they are available separately the cost is about $300.

I will give it a shot tomorrow, I resealed it tonight, im going to let it sit for a while and hope that it works in the morning.
