Very Nice! I like the forester much better than the old wagon personaly...nice upgrade man. Just curious though...how much cheaper is the ins really? I mean they are on teh same chassis, XT actually rates a better 0-60 time and has more HP than your old one.

I just got STi and the insurance on it for full coverage is cheaper than I was paying for less coverage on my 01' Tundra... This through Esurance. But I was paying 535/mo on my old STi back in 2005 when I had lots tickets

Sorry for the late reply.

My insurance went down by almost half, but that was because I a) moved out of crime-ridden Baltimore city, b) bought a house, and c) got married since owning the Forester Sports XT. I think the WRX just carried a higher premium because it was so accessible (price-wise) to newer, younger drivers who couldn't control themselves when it came to operating the gas pedal.

And to keep this on topic, I added the rear JDM Cross Sport badge to match the front one. I'm such a "ricer"!

Update: Last month I had installed new Swift Sport lowering springs and KYB Excel (rebranded GR-2's) struts with STi Group N topmounts. The new suspension is so much better than stock, but I honestly believe the stock suspension was on the way out after 120k+ miles. Ride height, turn in, and steering are so much better now. I scraped the front lip a few times because I'm not used to being "lowered", haha!

This is the best that I can do for a "before/after".
This is before...

This is after.

The drop is just under 2" front and back.

Default Rear suspension upgraded

I finally installed my STi Lateral Links and pink STi trailing arms, along with alignment, at Andrewtech.

The STi Lateral Links are pretty conspicuous.

On the alignment machine...

Here's a more recent pic in Georgetown, DC.

Thanks for the positive comments!

Here's a small update - new STi 5-speed shift knob. I really like the weight and it helps in shifting through each gate. It looks pretty sharp, too.

Default JDM card holder

This morning I installed a JDM card holder. I should stop being preoccupied with the small mods and get on top of the turbo swap.
