Default wrx radiator fan wires?????????????

what are the 4 wires for on the fan motors?? they are blue black yellow and green. im trying to put a wrx rad and fans in my rs. it only has a 2 wire harness and the wrx has 4 wires. are they for multiple sppeds??

1 - Black - ground
2 - Yellow/Red - switched power
3 - White/Blue - switched power

sub(16)

1 - B - ground
2 - Yellow/Green - switched power
3 - White/Green - switched power

Thats what I got. Dunno about 4 wires...only three.

its the sti fans the difference is 3+4 are joined to how it looks to me

edit: looking closer 3+4 are joined and grounded1+2 are switched power

yeah thats what the diagram says but thats not what i have here. the fan motors have 4 wires black,yellow,green,blue turning into just black,green and blue. the yellow joins w/ the black.. i need to know how to get this to work with a 2 wire plug. if possible. its a 98 rs harness. my swap is ready to go just this thorn in my a#@

one i9s for engine controlled and one is for a/c controlled so just connect the slot 2+3 together on both and they will run,


but it looks top me that if you connect the

main fan motor:

2---yr--------|
1---wl---------------------wl

3----b-------|
4----b---------------b?





sub fan motor:
--------yg------2
|-----wg------1

---------b------3
|-------b------4

why the sti fan?

anyone please check my work I am NOT positive but this is my interpretation
and this is from an 04 sti manual and general service manual
