Default Fuji cuts ties with GM, joins Toyota

Looks like it will be "Toyotaru" in the future instead of "Saabaru"

Nice! I definitely think Toyota will be better for Subaru than GM was or ever could be.

That's true. But truthfully an MR2 with a WRX drivetrain would be a lot of fun. Of course that will probably never happen, but you never know.

So what now the 9-2x is now a rare collectors item? Haha. Btw, Toyota is only buying 8.7% and FHI is buying the majority of the rest back.

Pretty big news.

Business people- Does this mean saabaru's are no more and the 92-x will be discontinued?

Article seemed to mention toyota is gonna use Fuji for its superior batteries. I wonder if they are going to take any automotive technologies (or entire cars).

One of the articles on this says the 9-2x will continue as a Saabaru at least for the 2006 year. It'll change to an "in house" designed car in the future but that was always the plan anyway.

Hmmm, so is Saab developing its own AWD platform? I suppose this means only good things for my resale value, 2JZ powered STi, anyone?

Saab already has their own AWD platform. Google Saab 9-3 Pikes Peak.
