Question Good body shop in portland?

Do any of you members in Portland, Oregon know of a reputable, reasonably priced body shop? I need to get some scrapes fixed and just moved here a couple months ago.

Thanks a lot...

P.S. - this is my first post, wasn't sure if I should put it here or in body/dress up, sorry if this is the wrong forum.

I'm not sure (I'm from Corvallis, not Portland). Consider a search in the "NorthWest" forum -- I know people have asked the question there before.

Welcome!

I've only needed a body shop once (when an ignorant kid rear-ended my Neon), but I used Leif's Auto Collision center in Tigard. I was very impressed with their service. Not only did they fix the damage to my car, they washed it, waxed it, and vacuumed the interior. Wow.

Leif's has lots of locations in the Portland area. Check out their website .

If you want it done nicely and are paying yourself, then I have to recommend Mastercraft in Newberg. They charge about half what the big shops do for labor and so a very nice job. They did the driver door on my 98 GT after a parking lot hit & run, and it cost me $350 instead of the $700-800 estimates I got from Leifs and Kadels. It's a small operation, but a great deal!

Leifs and Kadels (old velvet hammer?) are two of the better shops. I had Leifs fix a deep scrape on a panel that took just a little filler and then paint to match (2000 Xterra). 10 years later you still cannot tell which side had the work done and 9 of those years the car has been in Honolulu (more UV and salt than PDX).
My neighbor was paying for the fix so I did not care about the price difference.
