Question No WRX in Toronto?

Hi there,

Just curious... is there any WRX sold in the Metro-Toronto area? I have been over in Toronto for a week and was driving around on the highway (401, Don Valley, Q.E.W., ... etc.) quite a bit but I have not seen ONE WRX in sight. Are they just too fast that I missed them? Or, no one there has bought one?

On the other hand, there seems to be a number of nice looking "old age" Imprezas around, though...

I'm in Cambridge where I think I'm the only one with a wrx because I haven't seen any around. I went into Toronto on the weekend and I think I counted 7 - mostly silver, 1 red one and 1 blue one.

They are there.

May be they are just too fast for me to catch while I was driving my mom's Corolla

I've seen about 6 WRX on the road so far. I managed to get the attention of 3 of them and give a big thumbs up (I do the same for the RSs). Results:

One enthusiastic thumbs up in return

One wave

One "Who is that crazy kid get me out of here" look (From a middle aged man and his wife)

I'm in for 6k service and window tinting today... can't wait!

Cool

If you go to the Richmond Hill area, you will see lots of them. I have seen several silver and WR Blue sedans and wagons. You might see mine in the area too!

RickBH:

Sweet I'll keep my eyes peeled for ya. I work in Waterloo and usually take the back roads home to Lamebridge (down westmount, fischer-hallman into Roseville, cross to 97 then into "downtown").

Keep an eye out for a WR Blue sedan. That'd be me :-) The dealer I bought from (Gemini) just sold a WR Blue wagon so I'm sure I'll run into it at somepoint. Least I hope so - it's been pretty lonely on the roads so far.

hfann,

I'm often up in Richmond Hill working at a client site (I'll be there next week actually). I've only seen 1 WRX in the area of Leslie/Hwy7, a silver 2002 with customized plates "MY02 WRX". Haven't been able to flag his attention since he's always going the other way.

Cool

We are out there on the Toronto roads, oh yes we are.

My odo just turned 10,000 km tonight so the clicks got there somehow.

I always wave! (even at Outbacks!)

I saw a WR blue sedan in the beaches on Queen last night, was that anyone here?

I was stuck in traffic on DVP the other day (north bound) and there was a black RS (1999?) going southbound, I waved and he looked at me like I was a mental patient.....guess some of the first gen owners don't get "it" yet either!

On the way home from work last week I was at a light beside a 50ish lady in an Outback who rolled down her window and yelled "Nice Car!"

Some people get it and some don't!
