Default how to disable seat belt chime on 06 sti?

i have seen the legacy fix but couldnt find any info on the 06 sti i always
wear my belt but i like to unbuckle when in the parking garage or near my house. also i let the car idle with the a/c on while my wife is in the car
here in the summer and i know that the chime is gonna be annoying. any
help would be great!

use the legacy fix i just did it and its good to go. turn the key to the on postition and while those first few chimes sound cycle the seatbelt in and out 20 times in 30 secs or less finishing by unbuckling on the # 20 cycle turn the key off and take it out.
start the car wait tell the seat belt does its 5 chimes and then you are good to go.
i went to the store and back once i got to the gate i took my seatbelt off and BAMM
no sound. i also turned off my DRL and i am a happy camper thanks NASIOC!

I tried the 20 clicks in 30 seconds trick on my 2007 impreza and it worked like a charm. Thanks for the info.
I just bought my first Subaru and I'm happy to finally be able to join the club of owners!

i was wondering about installing a harness in my 06 sti but im worried about taking out the stock buckle. theres wires going to it obviously so can you just unplug them and everything is all good or do i have to splice them together so it thinks my seat belt is always on?

Hey guys. New here. Just picked up my 2013 Impreza Sport Wagon a couple of weeks ago and the seatbelt chime drove me crazy! This totally worked though. Thanks!

The seatbelt chime has always ANNOYED THE F*** out of me, but I actually never once thought to find out if it could be disabled. Figured I'd just have to live with it.

So, just happened to see this topic, THANK YOU for posting/resurrecting it!
