Consistency really worked for Burns. He got to the front fast and stayed there. The punctures were a b*tch but what can you do? I dont think Subaru will walk away with a manu or driver championship this year but the season is just past the halfway mark so I hope to be proven wrong.

Just watched the footage.
The subarus looked like they were working properly for once, hopefully we can see some consistency now. Rovanpera had broken dampers on the last 2 stages, thats why Burns and McRae passed him, otherwise it would have been a Peugeot 1-2. Incidently, Peugeot enforced team orders at the start of day 3 forcing Rovanpera to hold position. I wonder if they are regreting that now as those few seconds may have been enough to keep him in 2nd. Serves them right, i hate team orders. Marco Martin looked fast too, certainly more commited than Solberg. Petter put in a mature drive, i think he will go beter in New Zealand. Some of the jumps looked viceous as hell, some nasty landings but the scoobs held up well to it. Fingers crossed for the remaining events. New Zealand next up, thats definately Burns and McRae teritory. If Colin doesnt win that and Burns does in a straight fight then i will be impressed. Colin and Ford for world champions this year i think, Burns and Subaru are just too far back now. |

Good job Burns!
At least the SWRT cars finished and picked up some valuable points. |
