Default Modified Injectors with Cobb AP Base Map 2.5

I got a deadbolt super16g and I am thinking about having my stock injectors modified to flow 800cc. I am wondering if I can run cobb ap base map 2.5 for a couple of weeks until I get a protune.

you're already not using the mapped-for turbo, might as well unless you have a set of pinks laying around for the mean time

I don't have the turbo installed yet. I am waiting until I get a walbro fuel pump and stock injectors modified. The super 16g will max out sti pinks.

definetely...

my suggestion would be to only drive it to the tuner on the 2.5map... it'll get there, but prob a good idea to try to stay off boost

those injectors will flow WAY too much fuel for that map. It may run, but probably barely, at idle and otherwise. I personally wouldn't do it.

So do you think I should drive up to the tuner in NC and let them install everything and then do a protune? Thanks

Must be?? Not at all. It's not a bad idea though.

Ever think to call the tuner and have him e-mail you a base map that would be closer to what you are running?

They told me to use the sti pinks and then I could run base map 2.5, but Jerry @ Deadbolt told me that a super16g would max out sti pinks and I needed bigger injectors than that.
If my stock injectors are modified, flow rated, and tested at 800cc would that be to big for my turbo?

I'd pick a different tuner, or PM RiftsWRX and ask him if he would be kind enough to pick up the slack where your tuner left off. I know that he posts maps to his website for people to DL so he might help you out of the kindness of his heart.

My stock injectors before cleaning had a variance of more than 4 percent. I would pony up the dollars for the cleaning.

After cleaning, .4 percent
