Any one selling?

Any one selling there RS in the next few months??? If i find a good deal in this area my PARENTS (yes yes spoiled bastard speaking) may be willing to buy. Looking to spend around 13k so i am prolly going more twards a '98 . . . RBP, Silverthorn, or what ever the hell you got.

THis guy at the subaru dealer in waldorf, md said he was selling his. Its a silverthorn coupe.....dont know how much, dont even know his name.....but thats the only person i have heard of thats wants to sell his. I think he works in the parts department.

I might be selling. It's a MY99, silver with Rallispec Cat-back exhaust and PRM intake and coilovers. Rudy can attest to the fact that it's pretty damn fast. I can de-mod it if your parents aren't going to go for that. It's got 62k miles. The only problem is that it eats about 1 quart of oil every couple weeks. It's not burning the oil, it's getting ingested through the crankcase breathers during high G cornering, I know a few other MY99's have the same problem. Speaking of which it pulls close to 1.1 G's on street tires (measured with a Geez cube). The car is setup for STS class in autox.

Yeah well if I was buying my kid a car I sure as hell wouldn't want some racing suspension and power mods on it. Plus I can just sell them off to him later

BTW I'd be looking in the $13K range for mine.

yea if your selling now that wont do . . . my parents want to hold off a few more months but some of this is sounding good . . . and my folks wont mind about mods cuz i will be doing them soon any way.

Edit: would it not use up all the oil if i drove a little slower in the turns? or is the a perminant thing? or is it somthing that can be fixed(cheaply)?

The oil is definately related to how much I push it through turns. Highway it's fine, autox and I'll go through a 1/2 quart. If your parent's are skeptical I'll get a compression test done.

i dont know yet, i found a car a while ago and it hat 52k miles on it and my parents said that is too much

i told em that the subaru engin isnt broken in untill it hits 100k (they know that cuz we have a legacy outback w/ over 100k)
