Default exact ap procedure for ap after v34 install?

I again, for those who saw the other post, installed v34, pinks, ap, dp, up and fp to my 03 wrx yesterday,

got it narrowned down, its got to be something im doing wrong with the ap.

I did not "unmarry" and how do you do this, the ap from the car before i 1) installed/downloaded new software on computer from cobb tuning. 2) downloaded v34 map from ap maps (not street tuner, because that wouldnt have worked, thats different right) picked 03 v34 93 octane map, reflashed base map on car, runs like garbadge. 300 301 codes, flashing ecu, overheating, really quick and cooling down really quick.

any ideas?

Thanks, Ryan

Did you disconnect the init and test connectors after flashing your basemap?

^ i'm pretty sure he did or else the cel would just be flashing and it'd say "no codes found"

you did connect the green connectors and the blue connector when flashing your base map right?

i thought i heard you have to unmarry the ap before the flash,
is this true and what would happen if you didn't?

This happened to me once, i'm not sure what caused it. I reflashed the base map again, and it went away. It was weird, my car started then died, threw about 10 different DTC's, i thought my ECU was fukked, but it was fine after i flashed the same map again. . .go try a reflash. You may want to DL the file again, and try putting it in a different "slot' on the ap. report back after you try this.

To answer you Q, yo uare supposed unmarry the AP before upgrading the SW, but it's not technically required. I have successfully upgraded an AP without unmarrying it. ..

You don't have to unmarry anything.

1) Download the latest Map Manager software from Cobb's Site. http://www.accessecu.com/support/apmm_v1.63.exe
2) Uninstall the old version and then install this version.
3) Download the latest v1.30 map for VF34. Pick one of the following for either 93 octane or 91 octane.
93 - http://www.cobbtuning.com/wrx/access...2093%20oct.ptb
91 - http://www.cobbtuning.com/wrx/access...2091%20oct.ptb
4) Download the map to your AP.
5) Go to car and turn off all your accessories (lights, radio, dome light, air, etc.)
6) Connect the green connectors under the dash and the white flashing connector.
7) Plug in your AP to car.
8) Pick the VF34 map to flash and then turn the key to the ON position and hit flash button.
9) Wait for the thing to finish.
10) Turn key to OFF position, unplug the AP from car, unplug flash connector and unplug the green connectors.
11) Start the car and enjoy.
