These have been around for some time. One turbo is smaller so you have boost coming from one turbo fairly quickly and the boost from the other comming in at higher rpm. Also AFAIK there is only 1 or 2 guys in the US who have done the whole swap. Apparently there is added complexity with the two turbos/exhaust piping.

and if i recall, the sequential turbo setup is not compatible with some bits on a LHD car.

I've always been curious, does anyone know if the internals are forged, hyper-cast or cast? Open, semi-closed or closed deck? Compression? Can just the longblock or shortblock be swapped directly into a WRX? If so, has anyone ever done it?

I've always been curious about this motor, and if it's stronger than a standard EJ205, it would seem like a nice, cheap up-grade for a WRX. Probably not, but I figured I would ask anyway.

Default Its nothing to get excited about...

Nothing to get excited about... It is a low output engine and the twin turbos are there for smooth power delivery; not all out high horsepower. It also has a dead spot where they switch over. Overall not a particularly impressive engin.

I can't believe most people didin't know about these...especially you specialists

My friend's dad had one of these (in japan). It's been a while but I do remember a good pull all the way from low rpm to redline. I was only like 15 years old so my butt dyno was not very good though

This motor with the stock turbo setup will NOT fit into any USDM or LHD vehicle.
It's been talked about here MANY times before.
Now...find an ole subaru RHD mail wagon and you are set.
