Default Legacy Action Videos, Family Sedan drifting in an AutoX

Videos of drifting 00 Legacy GT.

1 Mb version: http://members.home.net/ernest.tam/2...2/00gt_big.mpg

5 Mb Version: http://members.home.net/ernest.tam/2...solo2/00gt.mpg

Another great event hosted by the MSOC. The day was extremely looooooooong with about 100 cars registered (or there abouts)

Etam and I were the only competing Subies, 2 family sedans a previous gen GT and a Current GT. This time though, I let y`all down. I was beat out by Mike Birch driving an Isuzu Impulse on R compound tires. The nerve of some people, how dare they allow themselves to beat a Family Sedan by .9 sec on the last run of the day.

The south lot was used due to a Cop motorcycle event. (That`s another story, clear disregard for any laws or property)
The south lot looked bigger than the north lot, and the first runs were really interesting. There was a coating of dust over the entire surface making the first runs extremely slippery. I felt like a rally car drifting around corners. As the day progressed, the track got grippier due to the cleaning and extra rubber left behind by each competitor.

Competition was fierce but friendly, Ford of Canada came out with a fully modified Focus. This was a company prepard focus with complete with:

Polished Heads
Cold Air Intake
Headers
Cams (I think)
Coil overs
Lowered by 1"
Full Aeor body kit
Sparco seats
Really nice interior

They offered free track time to people not competing in the event. The car put out 195 HP at the crank and Dyno`d at 155 HP at the wheels. This car was quick, but it was set up more for track rather than AutoX. It understeered tremendously. In my lengthy conversation with the Ford Factory rep, they will be attending more events in hopes to attract more enthusiasts into purchasing the Focus.

Default Well

I see what I would consider to an excellent drift and apparantly our fearless driver is rewarded by having a chick kick him. I didnt realize Auto-X had endorsed for contact discipline.

Default Kicked in the Jewels

Yeah, getting kicked in the jewels must have been painful. I think the receiver of the kick was "etam" himself. The guy that took the video.

It's nice of him to share that with the world, isn't it...

Hi Etam,

I think that Zippee has 30 Gb of space left on his server. Post on the Toronto Subaru Club and ask Zippee (Dean) about hot to get space...

Yes, well done.....

You keep raising the bar on what can be done with a family car , I'm not sure I be able to do justice to the GT's abilities when I bring out mine

Good stuff
