Car dies when idling...
What would i be looking for as far as the UTEC is concerned with adding fuel in my 0% column to aid in idling? It dies anytime it sits idleing for more than 60 sec. The voltage meter shows the needle bouncing back and forth in sync with my rpm's bouncing back and forth. Then it just dies. I've had the electrical system checked and its not the batt. or alt.
I may be way off here, but any advice is appreciated. I can log at idle if needed and post my fuel map. Thanks.

This was sorta happening to me the other day once. Started it up, and wouldn't idle, had to keep down on the gas to keep it going... but went away hasn't happend since.

Yeah, It's not that. Mine starts fine and idles fine too, until about a minute had passes then it starts the fluctuating of the voltage and rpms until it just gives up and dies. Any UTEC owners that can relate?

i've heard about a lot of problems with idle control on the UTEC.... my friends STi doesn't start smoothly and either stalls at idle or run really hard. check turbo xs website maybe?

If your car isn't idling correctly, then your tune is likely to blame. Check your fuel trims and adjust your fuel map and/or injector scaling appropriately. |
