Thumbs up Not "Whoopass", but how about an AWD Loading Dyno on the East Coast?

Sorry guys, but I just couldn't resist using the word "Whoopass" in the thread title. I knew it would draw a crowd to the thread - or at least an angry mob.

Anyways, TurboXS is proud to announce that we have recently purchased an All Wheel Drive loading chassis dynamometer. Please visit http://www.dynapack.com for more information on the features and functions of this dyno.

Our initial impressions are that the dyno is unbelievably repeatable (back to back to back to back runs within .3% of each other), very flexible (can be used like an inertia style dyno for quick tuning/power runs or as a loading dyno holding the car at steady state while modifying fuel and timing and monitoring torque output), and very sensitive (you can actually see the power drop when you turn the headlights on).

While we are very pleased with and proud of the results we have been able to achieve with the Unichip using Altered Atmosphere's DynoJet AWD dyno, we expect that our programming will become even more refined with this new and awesome tool at our disposal 24/7. I want to say thanks to the guys at Altered for all the assistance and help they have given us with the WRX to date.

We expect to have the dyno open to the public in mid-September (providing our move into our new place is completed by than). Check the website for updates. Call me or e-mail me if you have any questions.

Is there Unichips that are being sold in the future going to be even more refined because of the dyno? If so, when do they start shipping?

Sweeeeeet!

This is great news. I really wasn't looking forward to flatbedding my Rex down to Texas but now it looks like I won't have to.

This is awesome news. Its going to be nice to have access to this thing 24/7. Great job in securing what some people think as one of the best AWD dynos you can buy.

Cjchaps:

We should have revised programs by mid to late September. We are very confident in our initial maps and are very happy with the results to date. However, as I have told people who have already purchased early versions of our Unichips, if we come out with major revisions to our maps, we will re-program their Unichips at no cost.

My car runs the TurboXS unichip very similar to stage 3 - -

Before the unichip - my car was right in there with the rest of the cars in the SCC shootout - low 13's

Add the Unichip and Mark's genious and not only is my car faster than all the other SCC shootout WRX's - but my car drives and feels just like stock driveability and retains all stock functions

In addition, I've had nothing break - despite many miles of hard drag racing and auto x abuse

Trust me when I say that Mark is a very very talented tunner who achives the highest standards of excelence in everything he does

Mark's commitment to aquiring this dyno is just yet another indication of how deicated and serious he is about WRX performance

Mark @ turboxs:
if the customer (me) adds a turboback w/ only 1 cat to the stage 1 setup, how much to upgrade to stage "1.5" mapping?
Your website implies that we'd have to buy the other parts of stage 2 from you to get the upgrade.
Thanks.

Congrats Mark! Do you know how much you'll charge for an hour of dyno tuning? I hope not an arm and a leg like AA j/k
BTW, when is stage two going to come out? thx.
