what turbo would make most power with tmic
my current setup is
tanabe catback invidia up pipe and downpipe cobb short ram intake HKS BOV STI Pink injectors Cobb tuning with AP VF34 and stock top mount and what i wanna know is becuase i am upgrading to a much bigger top mount what turbo should i get that i could make the most power out of and still stay top mount i mean i know the vf34 is a good turbo but i would have to do all new internals and motor work to make alot more power and i really am trying to avoid getting front mount because of all the repiping that must be done. Anyone got any ideas

18g for sure. look into it, works very compatible with a tmic plus can put down so impressive numbers.

thanx bro but you wouldnt reccommend like a garrett turbo like a gt30 or anything?

The larger the better, its just that you will be "wasting" a lot of the capability of the turbo.
Basically, whatever can do about 20psi with the highest efficiency possible. A GT30 is probably more efficient there than an 18G, but the 18G would be well utilized. The GT30 would just be a waste. You'd be trading off a lot of spool for a tiny bit of power. |

You need to look up the formulas that determine what size core you'll need for X amount of hp. You can either take the largest off the shelf intercooler produced, use the formula, and determine which turbo is best for that hp, or you can determine what kind of hp you want to run, work the formula, and have a custom intercooler fabricated.
This is a very abnormal way to go about finding a turbo. What are your expectations from the turbo? What kind of racing do you plan on doing? These questions needs to be answered first, then you need to find a few turbos that fit your application, and then you should be working out which intercooler is best for that turbo. Larger isn't always better. Obviously you want the largest turbo for the largest intercooler, but spool time increases the bigger you go with each part. I hope you bring all these factors into consideration and it makes your hunting more specific, which would also make it easier. Keep in mind that you're limited to how much power you can put down before you have to upgrade your clutch and get a stronger gear set. Since you mentioned you don't want to upgrade internals, you're not going to want to upgrade gears either. And also, you're running pinks, those will get maxed out very easily if you try to get a fairly larger turbo. So you have all those considerations as well.
