Default New oil cooler...spec-c style!

Had a V9 Spec-c oil cooler installed at kingpin last weekend. Dave did a great job, and everyone there was extremely kind/helpful. Thanks guys.

And the work in progress thusfar:

I dont have an oil temp guage, so im not exactly sure how effective it is, but if STi feels its needed on a their car....then that good enough for me Plus a little insurance is never a bad thing to have, especially in this climate (AZ).

enjoy.

well, I dont think you will see the same benefits as someone living in a really hot climate like AZ. If you are really from Alaska.

My guess would be directly from Kingpin if they're the ones who installed it.

I saw what was left of that poor spec-c A couple of subie nuts made the trip with me, so we were all drooling over the piles of STi parts laying around...along with the RHD kingpin car....which sounds incredible, btw.

Probably not, when I upgrade my turbo ill either go to a larger FMIC or an AWIC. In the event do I get an FMIC, it shouldnt be to much trouble relocating the heat exchanger to behind the grill.

I would assume the air going through there is pretty turbulent, so the heat exchanger most likely get sufficient flow. Enough for me to not care about trimming the plastic.
