Default Brake fluid capacity

What is the brake fluid capacity for the 02 WRX.

I'm getting it changed at the dealership, but I'm supplying it...How much should I buy?

I'm thinking of Val. Synpower Dot 4...what do you think.

Matt.

I don't know the capacity. I usually buy a couple of quarts and bleed the system till the fluid comes out clean. I really doubt the dealership will go to all that trouble though. Most of the time, they might crack the bleeders open and gravity or vacume bleed the sytem for about 5 seconds and call it good. My suggestion would be to find someone whose done this befor and do it yourself.

It depends a bit how much they flush through... the actual system capacity is only about 0.5 liter (roughly 0.5 US qt)... a 1qt should be enough (I've done it with less) but I've heard of people using more. The Synpower DOT4 is fine. No need to go fancier unless you're boiling it.

ATE Super Blue is also a good choice.
