I think a good driver can get a basic stage2 wrx into the 12.9's ... My car ran a 13.2@102, before being Protuned ...I think with the addition of a better top mount and a retune, I may be able to touch into the 12s ... Only about $1000 bucks into at that point ...

Disclaimer: ... I really think that a good driver could have had my car in the high 12s, the mods will just help me get there ...

Dude, you or your car is on crack. The above average driver could never pull off a 12.9 with a stage 2. Unless your boosting dangerously high and removed a couple hundred pounds out of your car. There are some freak cars out there that perform well, but we've got to talk about the average driver with the average performing car.

From the 3 years hanging around here I've concluded the below numbers are about average:
Stock WRX run about 14.2
Stage 1 (ECU) run 13.9
Stage 2 (TB + ECU) run 13.5
Stage 2.5 (TB + ECU + uppipe + VF34 + STi pinks) run 12.9
Stage 3 (not yet available) run 12.6

I agree with you Matt! You can run 12.6 with a stage4 TXS or 2.5 COBB if it is tuned and you are a good driver.

Most would have to really work the car over to get an non-tuned 2.5 into the 12s.

From what I have seen at the track, your times above are correct for the average driver. Good driver can do better.

I'd figure these numbers are pretty much right on as well ... The majority of my day was spent in the 13.4-13.5@100-101 but with mid 1.9 60's, my best pass of the day of course was done due to a 1.8x 60' ... I'm by no means a great driver, but if someone could have put down some 1.7x 60' times and hit all the shifts spot on, I think they would have been @ 13.1 easy ... Hell, there was even a car there that ran a 12.9@104 ... Stock turbo, stage2 but with additional mods (Top Mount/WI/Hoses), but either way still not stage2.5 ...
