Default 06 WRX vs all: Cobb Dyno plots

Disclaimer: Cobb Tuning has several plots from their Mustang dyno and I combined them into one chart. So the time, temp, blah, blah, blah is different but at least done on the same dyno at the same elevation.

Nice work. How about adding the Legacy GT and 05 WRX stage 2 (although it might get a little messy).

Did you get the actual plotted numbers from Cobb?

I can see the LGT but an 05 stg2 WRX is pointless. You don't compare modded cars to stock even if the displacement is larger.

BTW thanks for the graph.

No, just charts from their website. Probably not true apples to apples, but if gives a good idea of the difference.

Why not? We have a good idea what stg 2 WRXs are running, so the comparison could be interesting.

Edit:
Added Legacy GT. Pretty amazing how close the 06wrx, FXT and LGT are!

I could add a WRX stage 2, but it's getting pretty busy now. Maybe I'll do it on a seperate graph. Stage 2 WRX vs 06 WRX?

Edit:
06 WRX vs 05 WRX stage 2

You do if all the stage II owners are thinking about going to an 06. How about you let the people decide what's pointless...mkay? I can think of any number of reasons you would want to compare a modded car to a stock car...

Personally I'd love to see a stage II 2.0l against the 2.5l. I'm sure there are a few hundred others on here who would too...why woundn't you want to know how they stack up???

OK, drop it. I showed the chart above. Looks like the 06 WRX loses to stage 2. But just image what stage 2 will look like on the '06.

Interesting, the 06 WRX almost exactly splits the difference in HP and torque between the 05 STI and the 05 WRX.

if it's got the same td04 turbo (and it does if i'm not mistaken), i'm pretty sure they will peak at the same hp.

swap turbos and the story changes... but @ stg2 levels that will be the limiting factor.

In sum: 06 wrx is pretty much equal in output to LGT's and FXT's.

The stage II 05 wrx is even with the 06, until 4000 where it takes over in torque and HP, no surprise there.

BTW: How did you get a hold of your teams FSAE car? I'm in the process now of getting one of mine (Lehigh 03'), but the school is giving me a hard time with insurance....like they even gave a DIME toward making it...
