Question Brospeed for 96-99 Outback: any new interest?

This is a Legacy GT wagon Bosal Brospeed that I had modified to work on my Outback. It looks nice, but is really a bit quieter than I was looking for. I don't want noisy, but my wife doesn't drive this car much anymore and I wouldn't mind a little more sound. I also had the midpipe redone in 2.25" tubing with no resonators. It is very mild sounding, but definitely sportier than stock.

I have $130 in the muffler, and I think $45 in the midpipe. I don't have my original midpipe anymore, so I would need a few days minimum to get my stock muffler back on with a new midpipe or to get a new system fab'ed. I will consider offers on this, but I will probably keep it if I can't get most of my $ out of it so I can get a replacement. Please e-mail dvancleve@yahoo.com.

Thanks, Doug

P.S. As far as I know, this is really only suitable for an Outback now...

Question Nobody?

I had a couple guys moderately interested in this a while back (gavin, sybir). It has had the tailpipe reworked since then so it sits in the bumper opening more nicely and it will come with a 2.25" midpipe for only a bit more cash. I got a killer deal on the Brospeed and I think I got the mods done quite cheaply as well, so I think it is a good deal for someone and should bolt right up with no hassles. Anyone?

I might be interested. So, it's modified to fit an OB - tailpipe, and mounting hangers? No issues with the pipe touching the bumper? Any noticable gains? I'm not looking for a sound mod.

Default Hey guys!

Gavin,

It looks like I probably have a buyer, but you never know. I don't think the hangers actually were moved, but they might have tweaked them a little (not really sure). The tip is centered in the bumper openeing and I think sits about the same as it would have on a GT wagon. I think it added a little pep, but I did do the Peaty version of the snorkusectomy at about the same time. I didn't think it made thinks any louder, even with no resonators, but my wife says it is louder.

Sybir,

I have some KYB GR2s that I got a really good deal on. They are actually the models for the older Legacy or Impreza, but I was assured by Rallispec that they are physically the same size and that the dampening is close enough that I probably wouldn't be able to tell them from the newer Legacy models in back to back testing. They should lower the car about 1.5", but I haven't gotten around to putting them on.
