Default Exhaust recommendations for a JDM EJ20G in a GC8?

I'm currently in the process of dropping the motor and full drivetrain from a '95 ver. 2 STI RA into my '01 RS, and I've decided that I'm going to need a bigger exhaust (I'm considering upgrading the up/down pipes as well). The only problem is I don't know what aftermarket parts are compatible. I've searched around the forums a bit, but I must not be using the right key-words since I haven't found anything that addresses this specifically. Any suggestions/recommendations/general information would be *highly* appreciated.

Thanks!
-Rob

I've got a usdm swap.. I'm pretty sure the dimensions and what not are the same for yours.. But if thats the case, any wrx exhaust stuff will work. The only difference on the wrx exhaust on a GC chassis is the back muffler hanger back by the differential won't work.. But you don't need it.. Get some kartboy or sti exhaust hangers, and it won't move at all.

2.5 inch straight pipe after the down pipe. cheap and good and it's not really that loud. I have it. I like it.

Anything for a USDM WRX will work. The world is your oyster. I am personally partial to the Stromung divorced wastegate DP and full exhaust.

On the up-pipe take a close look at yours before you do anything. Early STi's generally had catless uppipes. The gain to be had from an aftermarket on is marginal if you have no cat (which you shouldn't)...

Excellent. This certainly opens up my options. Thanks for your responses.
