Default weird noise after turbo install

well i searched and searched and found nothing,

i just finish installing my fpgreen with supporting mods.
perrin 815 injectors
perrin big maf
perrin inlet
turboback
utec (was already on the car)

when i start up my car everything is ok, i let it warm up for a bit, then when i rev it up alittle and let go of the pedal, i can hear a kinda metal on metal sound. sounds like the fans on the turbo are hitting against the housing. i can only hear it after i rev it up and release the pedal not during idle or when i rev it. could i have an exhaust leak? maybe between the turbo and downpipe? i heard about using a piece of pipe to hear the leak, but what excatly am i hearing for?

any guru's wanna give me some info.

Thanks

Do you have a catalytic converter? Failed cats like to rattle. But usually they will rattle at idle and stop as the revs get higher. As for the pipe thing. Get a largish pipe (2-3") a foot or so long and put it up to your ear. Put you hand over the other ear or put in a earplug so you can point the pipe around and isolate where it is loudest and likely the source.

Also not a bad idea to torque down all the exhaust bolts after you've warmed it up and let it cool again.

Turbo and DP will get very hot from the exhaust gases flowing through them. The oil feed will get hot due to it's proximity to the turbo.
