Default I think there is a live wire but i can't find it.

I have never experienced this before, but it started happening after i upgraded my utec software, but i dont see why that would have created this. I hear crackling like theres a live wire somewhere in my footwell/dashboard/maybe behind the radio, I can't pinpoint it yet. I know its not the utec because i removed it from the footwell and still heard it somewhere in the area.

I dont understand why the sound wouldn't appear when the key is turned to battery, I only hear it when the ignition is on. I think the sound only actually starts when i put it into gear and drive for a couple of seconds (I can't confirm this yet). For example, i started backing out of my driveway and then I noticed it. (when i was already aware of the problem). But it does continue to make the sound when im idle in neutral after the sound starts.

It doesn't seem to be affecting any performance, just extremely annoying.

Any suggestion on what this might be, or what will help me in figuring it out?

So run the car at idle in neutral, set the emergency brake, and either stick your head under the dash or use a length of tubing like a stethoscope to pin down where it's coming from.
