Default Anyone work in a ski shop that sells volkls?

I have a few questions for you regarding the new (06) Karmas. No one around here carries them. Are they the same aside from graphics from the 05 Karmas?

Also: If anyone has a pair of 177s they are looking to unload, let me know. I can no longer get pro-deals on volkls since my shops do not carry them. Also, if you are willing to let me know what the pro-form/shop-form/pro-deal price is this year, that would be awesome. Feel free to PM me if you want.

thanks,
grant

Hmm I'm not sure about the MY difference. I bought 6 stars last year though and I can tell you those are an amazing ski!

I effing love six-stars. I skied a pair for awhile last year. I would kill for a twin-tip version of those. my only complaint is that as the season went on, they softened up too much for my liking.

Yea they are a great all mountain ski. I also use them for racing, and have not expierenced much softening, perhaps due to the fact that I sharpen the edges every week. I agree about the twin tips, thats why I have a older pair of 1080s for powder and the park.

the flex itself actually softened up. I'm a ski tech, so i definetly know how to keep my skis in good repair. the wood in the cores just softened up. you could feel a difference if you flexed my pair then flexed a new pair in the shop i worked at.

i have a pretty full arsenal of skis, i just completely beat my all mountain skis to death last season. i like volkls a lot, but the karma's are one of their only skis i can buy because they don't come with bindings. i despise marker bindings.

w00t! I should be hitting breckenridge on 11/12. Possibly hit A-basin the weekend before. Work is sending me to Denver (11/7-11/11). My sister lives there too. Guess who's spending extra time in Denver!

Can't help you there. I can't believe they discontinued the Explosiv though. The Mantra is too soft and shapely to be a proper replacement.
