Default NESIC WRX 10k club?

Well, a glance at my odometer at lunch confirmed it... my WRX now has 10048 miles on it. I took delivery on July 9... heh.

I've found it to be a rock-solid, fun, and reliable companion in my daily commute and on my offroad excursions. No complaints except the standard "thin paint job" and a loose floor mat (now fixed with velcro)... oh, and the cupholders suck. But who _didn't_ know that?

Anyone else here over 10k in their WRX?

/Andrew

Haven't driven it for the whole week. I'm at 97xx, and don't want to join the club!

Hahah...

I am Dyslexic of Borg! Resistance is fertile! Your a$$ will be laminated!

Er... yeah. Anyway, Ray... you will join the ranks of the 10k club... just let yourself roll over that extra digit... that's it... now, that wasn't hard, was it?

Correction, BTW ... I took delivery July _6_. Not quite as bad as what I said.

Cool Ha! I laugh at you!

16,464 miles

She's sitting at Exeter as we speak - getting the 15K + Oil change + EGT Probe.
Andrew will probably pass me - July dude! jeeze

I was lucky to be in the first allocation, and got it back in March. So it's more then 6 months of driving the rex.
Since I've been ALL OVER the map with my job, and contracting for "a large bank in New England that rhymes with l33t". I haven't had a "set" commute. Sometimes it's 100 miles a day - sometimes it's 5, and sometimes I'm in Portland

Sarcasm = Hate my job

10k miles since July 9?? Holy crap!
I got my TS on July 11, and have 3500 miles on it. 700 of those were ProRally weekend.

Hehe...I forgot to mention...I take public transportation 5 days a week!!!!! So, I really only drive it 2 days a week plus nights.

Kris, I'm glad that they are testing installing the EGT probe on your car...I'm bringing mine in next Thursday.

Heheh. The really sick part is that I was out of town for a week in mid-August at SIGGRAPH in LA. So, hold on... (looking at calendar) .. that's 51 days worth of actual driving since I took delivery.

Add in 70 miles back home after work today, that's 10118 / 51 ... that's roughly 202 miles per day on average.

Some nifty facts:

* She's been to NH, VT, MA, CT, and RI. Every New England state except Maine!
* She's been to Montreal, Quebec
* She's been up to 127MPH
* She's been driven _every_ day since July 6th except for a short stint from the 12th-16th of August and on August 18.

Last oil change was at 6700 with Mobil 1 10W30. She's up for a new one early next week (or maybe this weekend! eek!)

I should check if there are any specific things that need doing at 10k other than just another oil change.

Thumbs down Only...

Less than 100 miles to the 12,000 mile mark. Got it March 17th.

So do we get a sticker for this club or something? How about one that goes over your odometer and keeps it permenantly at 10,000 miles?

Well, I got my car March 14th as well! About 200 miles to 10K, but it already has been to all 6 New England states, NY, plus Ontario and Quebec (twice); plus it's been driven on two race tracks (Watkins Glen and Mont-Tremblant). Not too bad, huh?

Seriously, 2 reasons my WRX is parked this week. One is that I have an old Supra with no A/C. I'm not going to drive that car when it's hot, rains, or snows. The weather this week has been too nice NOT to drive that car. Second is that I've sent my headrest covers to giulio for embroidering. It looks really stupid driving without the headrests or headrest covers.

maybe sometime next year I will join you guys im at 6500, I bought my car a month after webKris just to give you an idea. I moved recently and the most i put on the rex in a day is usually 10 miles and thats if I take the long way.

Chad N

Oh yeah i found a old gl wagon that i might pickup for the winter and garage the rex, except for winter races of course so i could possibly make a year without hitting 10k .
